What do I need to get started?#
To begin with OnePay Wireless, you’ll need to:
Have an active OnePay account
Have an eSIM-compatible & carrier unlocked device
Choose to transfer your existing phone number or get a new one
Purchase your plan in the OnePay app
Follow the on-screen steps in the app and your phone’s prompts to activate the eSIM.
How do I start this service with a new phone number?#
Select “I want a new number” during sign-up in the OnePay app. Activation instructions for eSIM will appear in the app once your payment is confirmed. Once activated, your line will be live with that new number.
When will my plan be activated?#
If you are setting up a new phone number, the plan is active once the purchase is complete and the eSIM is activated. If you choose to port (transfer) your existing number, your line becomes active when the port finishes—usually within a few hours, but sometimes up to two business days. You can check port status in the OnePay app, and we’ll notify you as soon as it’s done.
How do I activate my eSIM on my iPhone?#
After completing payment in the app, follow the on-screen prompts on your device to activate your eSIM.
Please note that iOS devices may ask you to assign cellular plan labels. The first label will usually be your old plan, and the second will be your new eSIM line. You can tap the second label and rename it “OnePay Wireless” so it’s easy to distinguish.
If you select the wrong plan by mistake, you can fix it later in your phone’s Settings under Cellular (iOS) or SIMs (Android) by selecting the correct line for calls and data.
If you are on iOS version 18.4 and older, make sure you enable 5G Auto on your device and toggle enable Wi-Fi calling.

How can I activate my eSIM on an Android device?#
After completing payment in the app, follow the on-screen prompts on your device to activate your eSIM. You may need to manually install your eSIM by following the steps below:
Open the email with your QR code on a different device (you’ll need to scan it using your phone).
On your phone, go to Settings > Network & internet.
Tap SIMs, then select Download a SIM instead?
Tap Next.
Use your phone to scan the QR code from the email.
When prompted, tap Download to begin setup.
Once the download is complete, tap Settings and then Yes to activate your plan.
How do I switch between eSIM profiles?#
If you have more than one eSIM on your device, you can choose which line to use for calls, texts, or data. Settings menus vary by phone and software version, but the general steps are:
Open your phone’s settings and look for Cellular (iOS) or SIMs (Android).
Tap the eSIM you want to use.
Set that line as your default for voice or data.
Once you’ve selected the right profile, your phone will use that eSIM for all services. If you don’t see the exact labels shown here, or if menus look different, just look for similar options in your Cellular or Network settings.
How do I link my OnePay Wireless phone number to my OnePay profile?#
Once your new phone number is active, the app will prompt you to update the phone number on your OnePay profile so alerts and reminders go to the correct line. If you skipped this step, you can manually update the phone number linked to your OnePay profile. See Updating your profile for more information.
How do I reactivate a plan?#
If you canceled your plan, you can reactivate it as long as your eSIM profile is still on your device and you are a OnePay customer. To reactivate:
Tap on Wireless from your home tab in the OnePay app
Select Reactivate Plan
OnePay Wireless will hold your phone number for up to 60 days. After this time, you may receive a different phone number upon reactivation.
What if I get a new device?#
If your new phone supports eSIM transfer, you can move your service during setup—just follow the on-screen steps. If not, we’ll help you install a new eSIM. Make sure your device is unlocked and eSIM-compatible. Contact support if you need help.
How do I check if my device is carrier locked?#
To use OnePay Wireless, your device must be unlocked. If it’s locked to another carrier, your eSIM may not work and your number may be inaccessible after porting.
iPhone
Go to Settings > General > About.
If Carrier Lock says No SIM restrictions, your phone is unlocked. If you see anything else, it may be locked.
Android (including Samsung)
There’s no single way to check carrier lock, but you can try this:
Go to Settings > Network & Internet (or Connections)
Tap SIMs or Mobile Networks
Turn off Automatic network selection
If only your current carrier appears, your phone may be locked
If you see multiple carriers listed, your device is likely unlocked
Some Android devices also have a “Network unlock” option under “More connection settings” that shows your current lock status.
If you’re unsure, we recommend contacting your current carrier to confirm and request an unlock if needed.
