Why We Brought Your Garage to Your Favorite Banking App

We believe consumers should have “one place to money,” and that means where our customers can see it, manage it, and understand their full financial picture. That's the thesis behind OnePay, and today we're extending it to one of the most valuable assets many Americans own or use every day: their vehicle.
Starting today, OnePay becomes among the first consumer financial apps to bring the full picture of vehicle ownership into one place with the introduction of My Garage. Vehicle value, loan equity, payoff timeline, insurance, gas rewards, are now all in the same place where our users manage their financial lives.
For a lot of us, our car is one of the largest assets we own and one of the biggest line items in our budget. And yet the data around that value is often everywhere and nowhere. What it's worth today, how much is left on a loan, how close we are to owning it outright, whether we’re overpaying for insurance - none of that is centralized. People can't see how their car ownership decisions ripple through their complete financial picture - how they might save for something related to their vehicle, get rewards on gas, or look to protect their car with insurance. They're left guessing about an asset that shapes their monthly budget as much as anything else. That’s the core of why we built My Garage.
How It Works
Open the app and enter details about the vehicle. Now, users can see the car's value, not a number from the day it was bought. More importantly, it sits alongside the deposit account and investments so people can understand what the car is worth as part of their total net worth.
Loan equity builds and the payoff timeline shortens with every payment. That real progress toward owning it outright is now visible right there with other financial goals: emergency funds, mortgage payoff, investment timeline. Users can see how paying down a car loan stacks up against other priorities.
Compare insurance offers without opening a new tab. And because users are comparing them in the context of their complete financial life (credit score, other assets, spending patterns), they can actually understand which offer makes sense specifically for them, not just which one's cheapest.
Earn gas rewards on spending that's already happening. These rewards aren't buried in a separate rewards app. They're part of the banking dashboard, showing how everyday spending connects to financial progress.
All of it belongs with the deposit account, credit, and investments because the car is part of one's complete financial life, not a separate puzzle piece.
Designs for Owners First
Plenty of players in this space have looked at the car in the driveway and designed their experience around the opportunity to sell a lead for an insurance offer, refinance pitches, dealer referrals, all optimized for someone else's conversion funnel. We approached this from the opposite direction: from ownership. My Garage starts with the question of what people actually own and owe, and we will expand features from there. The insurance offers and gas rewards build from that foundation, not the other way around. Because when the core data is centralized and honest, the recommendations that sit on top of it actually serve our customers first.
That's the difference between a feature built to monetize attention and one built to serve the person holding the wheel.
My Garage now has a home in the app where customers manage the rest of their money.
