Frequently asked questions
To get started, a parent or legal guardian must bank through OnePay and get a Builder Card. Parents can then add one or more teens as authorized users to their account and Builder Card. Once set up, teens can spend, save, and earn cash back, while parents stay in control.
Parents can set their teen’s spending limits, control ATM access, manage who they can exchange money with, block certain merchant categories with Teen Safety Mode, and more. Learn more in the Help Center.
Before teens turn 18, their activity isn't reported to the credit bureaus. When they turn 18, after their identity is verified and other requirements are met, we report their account age and eligible payment history as authorized users to the credit bureaus. This can help give them a head start to building credit history. Learn more in the Help Center.
Parents can add their teen to OnePay Invest. Once set up, teens can purchase stocks and ETFs with as little as $1. Learn more in the Help Center.
When a teen turns 18, they’ll be eligible to apply for their own deposit account and Builder Card. Once approved, they can continue using OnePay independently. Learn more in the Help Center.
