How do I sign up for OnePay Credit Builder Loan?#
OnePay Credit Builder Loan is only available to customers who bank through OnePay with Banking+ benefits. If you are already receiving Banking+, preform the following:
open the OnePay app and navigate to the Home tab.
Under the “Discover” section, select the OnePay Credit Builder Loan banner and start the application.
If eligible, you can also tap here to apply.
If you are not banking through OnePay, download the OnePay app and select Join OnePay. From there, you will be able to sign up for OnePay Credit Builder Loan once you unlock Banking+ benefits by receiving $500+ in direct deposits a month or have a total account balance of $5,000+ at the end of the previous month.
What is the minimum income required to sign up for a Credit Builder Loan? #
There’s no minimum income requirement; however, you will need to unlock Banking+ benefits by receiving $500+ in direct deposits a month or have a total account balance of $5,000+ at the end of the previous month in order to sign up for Credit Builder Loan.
Will there be a hard inquiry to my credit if I sign up?#
No, but you may see a soft inquiry on your credit history. Soft inquiries will not have a negative effect on your credit score.
For additional information on understanding your credit score, tap here.
Will I be denied if I have bad or no credit? #
We won’t deny anyone based on a low credit score or prior credit history. Previous account history at OnePay may impact your eligibility for Credit Builder Loan and restrictions placed on your credit report (like a credit freeze) may impact availability.
Why was I denied a Credit Builder Loan?#
You’ll receive an email which will explain the reason(s) for our decision. If you haven’t received this message please contact us or say "Agent" in chat, and we’ll resend it to you.
What eligibility requirements do I have to meet to apply for a Credit Builder Loan?#
You must be eligible for Banking+ benefits, be 18 years of age (21 if living in Mississippi), and live outside of Massachusetts.
If I am denied, how long do I need to wait before I can sign up again?#
You can reapply at any time as long as you are eligible for Banking+ benefits
What if my credit is frozen or locked?#
To unfreeze your credit report temporarily or permanently, you'll need to contact the credit bureaus since the action must be taken by the bureaus directly. Some bureaus can lift the freeze in a few hours, while others might take 1-2 days.
