How do I add my teen to OnePay?#

Banking for teens may not be available to all customers at this time. If you have a OnePay deposit account and have a Builder Card, you may invite your teen (ages 13–17) to join OnePay as an authorized user on your OnePay deposit account.

Before you begin

To add a teen, you must:

  • Be the teen's parent or legal guardian

  • Have an active OnePay deposit account

  • Have a Builder Card; if you don't already have one, you'll be prompted to get one before adding your teen

You'll also need your teen's:

  • Legal name

  • Date of birth

  • Home address

  • Mobile phone number

  • Email address

Your teen must:

  • Be between 13 and 17 years old.

  • Have a mobile phone number that isn't already associated with another OnePay account.

Add your teen

  • Open the OnePay app

  • From the Home tab, select the Family banner.

  • Enter your teen's information

  • Review their info and submit to add them as an authorized user to your account

OnePay performs eligibility and security checks before adding your teen as an authorized user.

How your teen completes setup

After your teen is added as an authorized user, your teen will receive a text message with a link to download or open the OnePay app.

Once in the app, they'll:

  • Verify their phone number and birthday

  • Finish setting up their profile

How does my teen accept their OnePay invitation?#

After adding your teen as an authorized user on your OnePay account, they'll receive a text message to download the OnePay app.

Your teen must complete the setup before they can access their profile.

To login to OnePay, your teen should:

  • Open the text message invitation.

  • Download or open the OnePay app.

  • Verify their phone number and birthday

Once setup is complete, your teen can sign in using their own OnePay login.

Didn't receive the invitation?

If your teen didn't receive the invitation:

  • Confirm that you entered the correct phone number.

  • Make sure your teen can receive text messages

  • Resend the invitation from the Teen or Family section of the OnePay app:

  • Tap your teen.

  • Tap Finish setting up your teen in the banner at the top.

  • Tap Get [teen's name] involved.

  • Tap re-send invite.OR

If your teen still doesn't receive the invitation or you no longer see the "Finish setting up your teen" banner, they can download the OnePay app and manually enter their phone number to sign in.
