We use Plaid to connect your external bank account so you can easily transfer funds. To connect your external bank to OnePay:

  • Open the OnePay app.

  • Tap your initials to go to your Profile.

  • Select Account and then Linked Accounts.

  • Tap Link bank account.

  • You should see a pop-up that says, “OnePay uses Plaid to connect your account.”

  • Tap Get started.

  • Search for your external bank, and enter your external bank login details.

Make sure that any external accounts you connect to OnePay are in your name. Once connected, you can transfer money in and out of OnePay at any time.

You can link to any personal checking or savings account as long as you are listed as an account owner. If we cannot verify your ownership of the external account, we may require additional documentation to complete the linking process. You can have up to 10 linked accounts.

If you don’t see your financial institution listed, scroll down and tap Link with account numbers.

Enter the account and routing numbers of your external bank. Plaid will send a micro-deposit to the external bank account with a 3-letter code for verification. Once you see the micro-deposit in your external account, log into OnePay and follow these steps:

  • Open Cash Control in the OnePay app and select Linked Accounts (link icon)

  • You should see your external bank listed as pending

  • Select Verify

  • Enter the 3-letter code from the description of the deposit

  • Once verified, your account will be linked successfully

You can also tap here in the OnePay app and follow the steps listed above to link an external account.

In some cases, you may need to submit documentation, such as a recent account statement, to help verify the ownership of that external account.

Yes, if your external bank uses Plaid or a similar service to link external accounts, you can link any OnePay pocket or section to your external account. The process to link your account may vary by bank, but once you have started to link, follow the steps below:

  • Enter either the phone number or email address associated with your OnePay account

  • Input the one-time use 6-digit verification code sent by text message or email

  • Enter your account passcode

  • A screen will appear to select the pocket you want to connect
