What type of cryptocurrency should I buy?#

OnePay Crypto is a self-directed trading platform, which means all decisions about buying or selling cryptocurrency are made by you. OnePay does not provide investment advice, make recommendations, or assess whether crypto is suitable for you.

If you’re unsure about which cryptocurrency to buy, consider doing your own research or speaking with a licensed financial professional for guidance.

How do I buy or sell cryptocurrency in the OnePay app?#

You can buy or sell cryptocurrency using the OnePay app. All crypto orders are market orders that are submitted immediately. Enter the dollar amount you wish to buy (minimum of $1), and your order will be placed right away.

To buy or sell cryptocurrency:

  • Open the OnePay app

  • Select Crypto from the Home tab

  • Select the crypto you’d like to buy or sell

  • Select Buy or Sell and follow the on-screen instructions to place your order

Or you can tap here to begin placing your crypto buy or sell order.

How quickly do crypto trades get executed once I place the order?#

All crypto trades are market orders and are submitted right away. In most cases, orders are executed shortly after they are placed — including during nights, weekends, and holidays.

In rare cases, an order may show as pending if it can’t be filled instantly. It will either complete or be cancelled, and your transactions list will update with the final status.

How do I access the funds from my Crypto sales?#

When you sell cryptocurrency, the funds are added automatically to your OnePay Checking balance, and you do not need to withdraw manually from your OnePay Crypto account.

To sell cryptocurrency:

  • Open the OnePay app

  • Select Crypto from the Home tab

  • Select the crypto you’d like to sell

  • Select Sell and follow the on-screen instructions

The proceeds from your crypto sales are available in your OnePay Checking balance shortly after the transaction is executed. Once the sale is confirmed, funds are generally accessible without a holding period.

How do I set up and manage my recurring crypto purchases?#

You can schedule automatic purchases of cryptocurrency daily, weekly, bi-weekly (every two weeks) or monthly. Once you choose the cryptocurrency, dollar amount, and frequency, your OnePay Checking or Saving balance will fund each buy without you needing to place orders manually.

If you choose to purchase with every direct deposit, your purchase will be triggered each time a direct deposit is received in your OnePay deposit account. Only the available funds from that specific deposit will be used for the purchase.

To set up recurring crypto investments:

  • Open the OnePay app

  • Select Crypto from the Home tab

  • Select the crypto you’d like to buy

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to place your order and select the Recurring option

  • Enter the amount, choose your funding source, frequency, and select your start date

  • Review and confirm your recurring purchase

To manage your recurring crypto investments:

  • Open the OnePay app

  • Select Crypto from the Home tab

  • Tap Settings

  • Choose Recurring Buys

  • From here, you can set up a new recurring buy or delete an existing recurring crypto transaction

  • You can also edit the amount, funding source, frequency, and next investment date

What happens if I don’t have enough funds in my OnePay deposit account to buy crypto?#

If your balance (across all pockets) isn’t sufficient, you’ll be prompted to link a debit card to complete your crypto buy order. You can also add funds to your account before placing trades or use an existing linked debit card.

Overdraft and Savings Backup can’t be used for Crypto purchases.

What happens if I don’t have sufficient funds for a scheduled recurring crypto purchase?#

If you don’t have enough funds in your OnePay account when a recurring crypto purchase is scheduled, the purchase won’t go through at that time. Your next scheduled recurring purchase will still execute as planned if sufficient funds are available.

For recurring purchases with every direct deposit, only the available funds from that deposit are used. If there aren’t enough funds from the deposit to complete the purchase, the transaction will not go through for that deposit. We’ll try again the next time a qualifying direct deposit is received.

If you have multiple recurring purchases set up with direct deposit, they are attempted in order. If one purchase fails due to insufficient funds, the system will continue attempting the remaining purchases.

After four consecutive cancellations due to insufficient funds, your recurring crypto investment will be automatically cancelled.

How do I check my past Crypto trades?#

You can view your full history of crypto buys and sells directly in the OnePay app.

To check your Crypto transaction history:

  • Open the OnePay app

  • Go to the Crypto section from the Home tab

  • Tap Settings, then Transaction history

Your recent crypto trades will be listed, including the date, amount, and type of order (buy or sell).

How do I transfer crypto from an external account into my OnePay Crypto account?#

You can transfer supported crypto from another platform into your OnePay Crypto account using the deposit details provided in the app.

To deposit crypto into OnePay:

  • Open the OnePay app

  • Select Crypto from the Home tab

  • Select the option to Move your crypto to OnePay

  • Select the crypto you want to receive

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to view your crypto wallet address or QR code

When depositing crypto, OnePay Crypto will provide your deposit details, including:

  • The supported network

  • Your deposit address

  • A memo or destination tag (if required)

To complete the transfer, you’ll need to send crypto from the platform where it is currently held using the deposit address provided. The transfer itself is initiated on that external platform, not within OnePay.

Before sending, make sure you select the correct crypto asset and network. Sending the wrong asset or using the wrong network may result in permanent loss.

Make sure you select the correct crypto and network before sending. If you’re unsure how to send crypto, refer to the instructions provided by the platform you are sending from.

What do I need to know before transferring crypto from an external account into OnePay?#

Before sending crypto, make sure you have the correct:

  • Crypto asset

  • Network for that asset

  • Wallet address or QR code

Some crypto transfers may also require a memo or destination tag to be entered. A memo or destination tag is a short code used to match your transfer to your account. If required, it will be shown with your deposit details and should be included exactly as displayed.

Crypto transactions cannot be canceled or reversed once they are sent. You may want to send a small test amount first before sending a larger transfer.

Deposit times can vary depending on the crypto asset and network. Once the transfer is completed, the status will update in your OnePay Crypto account.

How can I track my crypto deposit with a blockchain explorer?#

When you send crypto to your OnePay account from another platform, you can track its progress using a blockchain explorer.

A blockchain explorer is a public tool that shows the status of crypto transactions in real time. You can use it to check if your transaction was sent, whether it is still pending or confirmed, and view details like the amount and recipient address.

To track your deposit:

  • Get your Transaction Hash from the platform where you sent the crypto

  • Go to a blockchain explorer that matches the network your crypto was sent on

  • Paste the Transaction Hash into the explorer to view the transaction status

Make sure the recipient address shown matches your OnePay deposit address.

Why hasn’t my crypto deposit arrived yet?#

Crypto deposits are not instant. Your funds will appear in your OnePay account after the blockchain confirms the transaction.

Timing can vary depending on:

  • The network used

  • Network congestion

  • The transaction speed or fees selected when sending

If your transaction has been completed on the blockchain, your deposit may still be processing. The status in your OnePay app will update once it is received.

What should I do if I don’t see my crypto deposit?#

If your deposit hasn’t shown up yet:

  • Check the sending platform and make sure the transaction shows as completed, not pending or failed.

  • Check the blockchain explorer by using your transaction hash to confirm whether the transaction was successfully sent, and it has been confirmed on the network

  • Verify your details and confirm you used:

    • The correct wallet address

    • The correct network

    • Any required memo or destination tag (if applicable)

If everything looks correct and your deposit is still not visible, it may still be processing. The status in your OnePay app will update once it is received.

Can I transfer my crypto to another digital wallet?#

No. OnePay Crypto does not support transfers to or from external digital wallets. If you want to use the funds from your crypto, you’ll need to sell it first. Once your sale is confirmed, the cash will be added to your OnePay Checking balance.

Are there limits on crypto transactions?#

Yes. To help keep your account safe, we have limits on certain types of crypto transactions. These limits can vary based on factors like the type and size of the transaction and how long your account has been open.

These safeguards are part of our fraud prevention efforts and are based on typical account activity, such as how customers fund their accounts, the size and frequency of trades, and the number of transactions placed in a single day. Your limits may also change over time as your account history builds.

Can I use my OnePay Points to buy cryptocurrency?#

Yes. You can redeem OnePay Points as cash back, which is deposited directly into your OnePay deposit account, and immediately submitted for the exact cash back amount to buy the crypto you chose. You must redeem a minimum of 25 OnePay Points ($0.25) to buy crypto, and once the points are redeemed, they cannot be converted back into points.

How do I buy crypto using OnePay Points?#

To buy crypto using OnePay Points:

  • Open the OnePay app.

  • Tap the points listed in the upper-right corner of the Home screen.

  • Tap Redeem.

  • Select Crypto.

  • Tap Continue.

  • Enter the amount of OnePay Points you wish to redeem (minimum of 25 points), and tap Continue.

  • Pick an asset for your points, and follow the on-screen instructions to place your order.
