OnePay Money Companion (OPMC) Terms

Effective As Of September 22, 2025

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS BEFORE USING ONEPAY MONEY COMPANION. 


These OnePay Money Companion (OPMC) Terms (the “Terms” or this “Agreement”) govern your access to and use of OnePay’s AI-powered financial education and research chatbot that leverages models to generate responses related to (“OPMC” or “OnePay Money Companion”), developed and maintained by One Finance, Inc. (“OFI,” “OnePay,” “us,” “we,” or “our”). By accessing or using OnePay Money Companion, you (“you”) agree that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. 


IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, THEN YOU ARE EXPRESSLY PROHIBITED FROM USING OPMC AND YOU MUST DISCONTINUE USE IMMEDIATELY.


These Terms incorporate the OnePay Terms of Service, including, without limitation, provisions relating to governing law, class action waiver, and arbitration and the OnePay Privacy Policy. By accepting these Terms, you also agree that the OnePay Terms of Service and OnePay Privacy Policy govern your access to and use of OPMC. Defined terms used herein, but not otherwise defined shall have the meaning given to them in the OnePay Terms of Service. To the extent there is a conflict between these Terms, the OnePay Terms of Service and OnePay Privacy Policy, these Terms prevail.

  1. OnePay Money Companion Service

    1. Beta Version. You acknowledge and agree that OPMC is being provided as a beta service that is currently being tested. OPMC may contain bugs, errors, or other issues, may not function as intended, and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued by OnePay at any time without notice. OnePay shall have no obligation to provide maintenance, support, or continued availability of OPMC during or after the beta period. In connection with testing OPMC, you may provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas regarding OPMC (“Feedback”). You grant OnePay a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use such Feedback for any purpose without compensation or attribution.

    2. Description of OPMC. OPMC processes your Input to produce personally tailored Output, which may include financial and economic advice, research, insights into transaction data and trends, and assistance with budgeting and saving. For purposes of these Terms, “Input” means any prompts, questions, instructions, data, files, or other content you submit or make available to OPMC. “Output” means any responses, insights, text, images, or other content generated by OPMC in response to your Input. 

    3. License to use OPMC. OnePay grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to access and use OPMC solely in accordance with these Terms. OnePay may provide OPMC through its website and/or mobile application (collectively, the “OnePay App”), which are owned and operated by OFI. 

    4. Educational content; financial and economic advice only. OPMC is solely intended for providing personalized financial and economic advice and provides financial education, research, and information only. It is not intended to provide legal, tax or investment advice.  By entering Input into OPMC you are doing so under the sole, express purpose of seeking personalized financial and economic advice. NONE OF THE OUTPUTS PROVIDED BY OPMC CONSTITUTE INVESTMENT, LEGAL, TAX, ACCOUNTING, CREDIT REPAIR, OR OTHER LICENSED ADVICE, AND YOU SHOULD NOT RELY ON IT AS SUCH. YOU SHOULD CONSULT WITH A LICENSED PROFESSIONAL FOR ISSUES RELATING TO THESE SUBJECTS.  We (including our affiliates) are not a financial advisor, investment advisor, lawyer, law firm, tax advisor, accountant credit-repair organization, debt-repair or debt-relief service, or credit-counseling service, and your use of OPMC does not create an advisor-client, attorney-client, fiduciary, or other professional relationship. Nothing provided through OPMC is a recommendation, solicitation, endorsement, or offer to buy or sell any security or to pursue any personalized investment strategy. 

  2. Use of OnePay Money Companion 

    1. Access. If you do not already have a Service offered by OnePay, you will need to create a OnePay profile and provide certain personal information (e.g., name, email address, and phone number) to access OPMC. Existing OnePay customers may access OPMC after agreeing to these Terms. Access to OPMC is contingent on you maintaining a customer relationship with OnePay. Access and use of OPMC is subject to our approval, and we may decline, suspend, or revoke any individual’s access to OPMC at any time, in our sole discretion, without notice or explanation. We may request additional information to verify your identity or to enable certain OPMC features.  

    2. Eligibility. To be eligible to use OPMC, you must be a legal resident of the United States, at least 18 years old, and not be prohibited by law from using the OPMC. You are responsible for ensuring you meet these eligibility requirements and by accessing OPMC you confirm that you do. 

    3. No Servicing. You agree that your use of OPMC is limited to your personal financial education and research. OPMC is not a customer-service channel and OnePay does not accept or process account instructions, servicing requests, complaints, or legal notices through OPMC. Communications sent via OPMC do not constitute notice to OnePay.

    4. Your Activity. When using OPMC you understand and agree that you are prohibited from engaging in any illegal, harmful, or abusive activity. Examples of such types of activities include, but are not limited to:

      • Using OPMC to infringe upon, misappropriate or violate the rights of any third-party;

      • Modifying, copying, leasing, selling, or distributing OPMC;

      • Representing Output as professional advice or as human generated;

      • Reverse engineering, decompiling, discovering, or modifying any component of   OPMC, including its underlying models (e.g. source code);

      • Interfering with or disrupting OPMC;

      • Using Outputs to develop models or other services that compete with and product or Services offered by OnePay or its affiliates, including OPMC or the models powering OPMC;

      • Using OPMC for any purpose that may have a legal or other material impact on a third party.

  3. Content

    1. Your Content. Input and Output is collectively “Content.” You are responsible for your Content, including ensuring that it does not violate any applicable law or these Terms. You represent and warrant that you have all rights, licenses, and permissions necessary to submit Input, and that your Input complies with applicable law and these Terms. You further represent and warrant that your Input does not include others’ personally identifiable information, payment-card data, protected health information, confidential or proprietary information, or any content you lack permission to share. We may monitor, review, and analyze Output, Input and related usage for quality, safety, abuse prevention, and service improvement. 

    2. Ownership of Content. As between you and OnePay, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, you (a) retain your ownership rights in Input and (b) own the Output. You grant to OnePay a perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use your Content in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which may include, but is not limited to monitoring and analyzing Output, Input and related usage for quality assurance, safety, and improving OPMC. Notwithstanding the foregoing, you acknowledge and agree that because of the nature of artificial intelligence your Output may be similar to Output received by other OPMC users and your rights do not extend to output provided to other users.

    3. Risks and Limitations of Output. OPMC may generate Outputs that are inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, misleading, or inconsistent with previously provided Outputs, and may “hallucinate” that is, fabricate facts, citations, or analysis that appear plausible but are false. Additionally, the models used to provide OPMC may change over time, which may impact the performance, behavior and Outputs provided.  Output is generated automatically by AI models and is not directly created or reviewed by a human before you see it. You acknowledge these risks and agree that you are solely responsible for evaluating and verifying any Output and for making your own financial decisions. OnePay shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your reliance on any Output.

  4. Use of Account Information.

    1. Use of OnePay Account Information. OPMC may draw upon other information and data sets incorporated into or otherwise accessible by the underlying model to inform its responses. Additionally, and in accordance with OnePay’s Privacy Policy, OPMC may access, analyze, and utilize information maintained by OnePay about you—including without limitation your transaction history, balance information, account profile, and other related account data—to generate Outputs. 

    2. Third-Party Account Information. Through your use of OPMC, you may authorize OnePay to access information relating to your accounts maintained with third parties, including, without limitation your transaction history, balance information, account profile details, and other related data (“Third-Party Account Information”). OnePay may use one or more third-party services providers to provide such access. By providing this authorization, you expressly permit those third parties and service providers to disclose your information to OnePay for use in accordance with OnePay’s Privacy Policy. OnePay does not control and is not responsible for the operation of any third-party service providers, nor for the accuracy, completeness, legality, reliability, or non-infringement of any Third-Party Account Information. Your use of these service providers to provide OnePay with access to Third-Party Account Information is subject to the terms of such third parties. OnePay does not review Third-Party Account Information and is not responsible for its accuracy, legality, or non-infringement. You acknowledge that any Third-Party Account Information displayed through the Service may not be current and may not reflect pending transactions or other recent activity and that any Outputs that rely on Third-Party Account Information may be limited, incomplete, delayed, or otherwise impacted by the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of such data. 

  5. AI Providers. 

    1. Use of AI Providers. You acknowledge that the Service may be enabled by one or more independent third-party artificial intelligence or machine-learning providers, including, without limitation AI/ML model providers, hosting, and data-connectivity services, (each, an “AI Provider”), whose systems process Input and generate Output on our behalf. AI Providers are not affiliated with OnePay and operate outside of our direct control. AI Providers are independent of OnePay, and their technology, availability, policies, practices, performance, and underlying operations are outside of our control. We may change or substitute AI Providers at any time without notice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, OnePay disclaims responsibility and liability for any acts or omissions of such providers, and for any interruptions, errors, or defects attributable to their services.

    2. Availability; Changes; Limitations. Because AI Providers are independent, we do not guarantee any particular availability, performance, feature, or result attributable to an AI Provider. OPMC (including Output characteristics) may change as underlying models change. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for interruptions, errors, or defects caused by an AI Provider; however, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to restore Service or provide a reasonable workaround.

  6. Warranties. 

    1. Warranties. EXCEPT AS PROHIBITED BY LAW, OPMC IS PROVIDED “AS IS”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. FURTHER, ONEPAY DOES NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR COMPLETENESS OF ANY OUTPUT GENERATED BY OPMC AND HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL, WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY OF THE OUTPUTS. YOU AGREE THAT YOUR RELIANCE ON ANY OUTPUTS IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK AND YOU SHOULD NOT RELY ON ANY OUTPUT AS YOUR SOLE SOURCE OF TRUTH OR FACTUAL INFORMATION.

  7. Other

    1. Notice. OPMC and any features or services made available through it may be modified or canceled at any time, in our sole discretion. If required by law, we will provide you advanced notice. We may make changes to these Terms from time to time. Upon doing so, we will post an updated version of them on OnePay.com. Your continued use of OPMC after the publication of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. To the extent required by law, we will give you advance written notice for changes to these Terms that have a material negative effect on you. We may send communications about the Program to you at any mailing or email address in our records, or through a notification in the OnePay app or any of OnePay’s other online platforms. 

    2. Intellectual Property Rights. OnePay and its licensors retain all right, title, and interest in and to OPMC and any associated intellectual property. You are granted no ownership rights. Your use of OPMC is strictly confined to the license granted to you in these Terms.

    3. No endorsement. Outputs do not represent the views of OnePay. OPMC may provide Outputs that reference third party products and services, either explicitly or implicitly. Those third-party products and services may not be affiliated with OnePay, and such references are not endorsements.

    4. Language. OPMC is designed to operate in the English language, and any Output in any other language should not be relied upon.
