How can I earn points with monthly cash back categories?#

When you bank through OnePay, you can earn points at Walmart, gas stations, restaurants, and other top brands.

Monthly Cash Back Categories#

Each month, you must choose a cash back category in order to earn OnePay Points. You can choose between Walmart, gas, or dining. If you do not select a category, you will not earn points until one is selected.
You will have to select a category again the following month to keep earning.
With Banking+, you can earn 3% cash back, which means you earn 3 points per $1 spent, up to a maximum of $150 in purchases per month on your selected cash back category for that month. That’s up to 450 points earned per month (redeemable for $4.50 in cash back per month, $54 per year). With Banking+, if you hit the monthly cap, you still earn 1 point per $10 spent on your selected category for the remainder of that month.
If you don’t have Banking+ benefits, you have unlimited 1 point per $10 spent on your selected category.

How does selecting a monthly cash back category work?#

On the first day of each month, customers who bank through OnePay can choose a monthly cash back category (Walmart, dining, or gas) to earn rewards on purchases made with their debit or Builder card.

You must select a category to earn rewards. If no category is selected, you will not earn rewards until one is selected. You can make your selection once, at any time during the month, and rewards begin on the day you select your category. Once selected, the category cannot be changed until the following calendar month and will apply through the end of the current calendar month. You must select a category again next month.

Banking+ customers earn 3 percent cash back on up to $150 spent in their selected category each month, which means they earn 3 points per $1 spent, up to a maximum of $150 in purchases per month on their selected cash back category for that month. That’s up to 450 points earned per month (redeemable for $4.50 in cash back per month, $54 per year). If Banking+ customers hit the monthly cap, they still earn 1 point per $10 spent on their selected category for the remainder of that month.

Customers without Banking+ benefits earn 1 point for every $10 spent in their selected category.

How can I earn OnePay Points with OnePay Wallet?#

You can earn 1 point per $10 spent at Walmart when checking out using your OnePay Wallet. Your OnePay and other external cards linked to your OnePay Wallet may also be eligible to unlock more offers to earn OnePay Points. Using a OnePay Debit Card or Builder Card through OnePay Wallet may not earn additional OnePay Points beyond what you can earn through offers with other OnePay products.

For a limited time, new OnePay Wallet customers are eligible for a Welcome Bonus to earn 500 points on their first $5+ purchase at Walmart, redeemable for $5 cash back. See the Wallet cards section in the Cash Control tab of the OnePay app for details. Please note that you must bank through OnePay to redeem OnePay Points for cash back.

Only cards issued by payment card networks that participate in Rakuten Card Linked Offer Network (RCLON) are eligible to enroll. Cards from Discover and Apple Card are not eligible for Rakuten Offers. Certain other credit cards may also be excluded by RCLON.

Are all the cards in my OnePay Wallet eligible to earn OnePay Points?#

Not all linked cards in your OnePay Wallet are eligible for additional offers. Some offers that are near you are automatically activated for eligible cards, while others require activation in the app. You can see which linked cards in your OnePay Wallet are eligible to unlock more offers right from the OnePay app.

Tap Learn more right below “Browse offers”
Choose the cards to unlock offers and confirm your selection

How do I earn 5% back at Walmart with my OnePay CashRewards Card?#

You must be a Walmart+ member and use your OnePay CashRewards Card at checkout to earn 5% cash back, which means 5 points for each $1 spent on a purchase at Walmart. Make sure your Walmart+ account is linked, and your CashRewards Card is set as the default payment method in your Walmart Wallet.

Rewards are awarded as OnePay Points, which you can redeem for cash back into your OnePay deposit account or other available options. Refer to the OnePay Rewards Terms for full program terms.

Can I earn 5% back on my Walmart+ membership fee with my OnePay CashRewards Card?#

Yes, as long as your OnePay CashRewards Card is the default payment method for your Walmart+ subscription, you’ll earn 5% cash back on the membership fee, which means 5 points for each $1 spent.

Additional Offers#

You’ll find additional offers on the Rewards page in the OnePay app. On the OnePay Rewards page in the app, you’ll see offers.

Offers that are automatically activated for eligible cards

Earn points with offers that are automatically activated in the app (no activation needed) for eligible cards.
These offers have a green check box in the offer tile in the Rewards section of the OnePay app

Offers that require activation

Earn points with offers that require activation in the app.
You must make sure these offers are active at the time you make the purchase in order to earn.
You can enroll additional cards, along with your OnePay cards, in your OnePay Wallet to unlock more offers to earn OnePay Points.

You can activate multiple offers at a time.

When do I receive my OnePay Points?#

OnePay Points are earned after an eligible purchase settles, but it may take up to 60 days for points to be made available in your OnePay Points Balance. Points earned through Bonuses are added after the Bonus expires, or as described in the specific Bonus terms.

Is there a limit to how many points I can earn?#

There is no overall limit to how many OnePay Points you can earn. However, individual rewards may have limits on how many points you can earn, which will be communicated to you along with the other reward details.

How do I link my Walmart+ account to my OnePay CashRewards Card?#

We will attempt to link your Walmart+ account automatically during your application.

If successful, your Walmart+ status will stay up to date for rewards earned. If you use a different email address on your Walmart.com profile, you can link it manually from the OnePay app:

Select the Credit Card tile from the home tab
Select Settings
Select Walmart+ account
Enter the email address linked to your Walmart+ account
Select Link account

What happens with my OnePay CashRewards Card if I cancel my Walmart+ membership?#

You’ll still earn 3% back at Walmart with your OnePay CashRewards Card, which means 3 points for each $1 spent on a purchase at Walmart. You’ll also continue to earn 1.5% back everywhere else Mastercard is accepted.
